Picture it, Tacoma Dome circa 1991

Surrounded by thousands of screaming fans waiting for our favorite group, New Kids on the Block, to take the stage.  I’m anxiously awaiting the start of the show when this man walks up to me, asks me if I l want to go backstage.
Being a super fangirl I was like oh yeah!

He said he will back in a bit to get me a backstage pass and I was like, “Yeah, sure, ok this guy is full of it”.  But about a half hour later he returned with my backstage pass and proceeded to escort me backstage.  As we walked, he mentioned that one of the New Kids pointed me out and wanted to meet me.

We approached the backstage area.  First thing I noticed? A line of girls that ranging from kids to teens.  I was placed second to last.  I nervously waited for the New Kid that wanted to meet me, I remember thinking, “I cannot believe this happening to me, this is a moment that I will never forget”.   It’s true - that experience, that feeling? It’s something that I have never forgotten.

So much that it molded my career into what it is today.

My start in radio began at the age of 16.  I stapled papers and answered phones until I proved myself enough to my boss to host and produce Soul Jams, a weekly Wednesday night show.  The gig lasted through high school, then moved to Seattle to attend The Art Institute of Seattle, where I earned a degree in Music Business.

No amount of homework, would stop me from working in radio.  First as a part of a street team and eventually, sales.  That job set my course for what I’m doing now.  It led to an advertising specialist position at Yakama Nation Legends Casino, which led to a higher level marketing spot in Washington State.

The 9-5 grind wasn’t my style.  Without a plan, I left to start She Bully Marketing & Entertainment.  Was I scared? Yes. But my excitement was stronger.  I pushed my nerves because I knew I was meant for something greater.

It’s the best decision I ever made.  My goal for She Bully is to bring the same kind of excitement I had (and still have to this day!) to every person who attends my concerts and events.  I’m proud my clients entrust me with their marketing and advertising goals.  I am a true extension of their vision, and have their best interests in mind at all times.  It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
